AND HERE IS WHAT CULTS DO!

Tangent is a line that touches a circle in one point and then proceeds in a straight line away from the circle. That is what cults do! The cult touches on truth, but ends up going off on their own way.
"IF YOUR PASTOR DOES NOT DO AS IN COLOSSIANS 3:17, SOMETHING IS BAD WRONG!"
That is what all cult leaders do!
They suck young believers in with scripture!
Then, devour them with their own scripture interpretation and law system!
They suck young believers in with scripture!
Then, devour them with their own scripture interpretation and law system!
A cult leader does not play fair play. Instead, a cult leader viciously attacks everyone who does not subscribe to his doctrine, and anyone who does not unconditionally subject to him. One shall recognize the tree by its fruits. Is a cult leaders fruits sweet or rotten? A cult leader's low regard for women and remarks with sexual innuendo speak for themselves. A cult leader has a lack of remorse for obvious errors, such as a continuing disregard for his own children. The Holy Bible says that one who doesn’t provide for his own flesh and blood has in fact denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. A Cult leader rants and raves, and slanders brothers in the faith. Accusation of brothers is an important sign that something is amiss. A cult leader attacks minor belief differences of others, as compared to his beliefs. A cult leader has discussions, unrighteous judgement, and judges constantly the faith of fellow servants. He viciously is seeking out splinters in the eyes of others, yet ignoring the beam obstructing his own vision.
A cult leader is void of remorse! Many fallen “NIV-loving” televangelists, have done better by admitting their sins and showing remorse.
Jesus happily explained his teachings, and likewise, did the apostles after Him. A cult leader does not respond well to critical examination of his views. Also, he seems to remain fruitless. The fruit of the Spirit is: Love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. Against such there is no law. A cult leader goes through members like a buzz saw!
A true Pastor has: 1. Giving all diligence. 2. Add to your faith virtue. 3. And to virtue knowledge. 4. And to knowledge temperance. 5. And to temperance patience. 6. And to patience godliness. 7. And to godliness brotherly kindness. 8. And to brotherly kindness charity. A cult leader twists these qualities. A "TRUE PASTOR" does not.
Speaking of a Pastor, the Bible says to qualify, a Pastor must be: 1. Blameless. 2. The husband of one wife. 3. Vigilant. 4. Sober. 5. Of good behavior. 6. Given to hospitality. 7. Apt to teach. 8. Does not allow critical examination. 9. Has actual knowledge of Scripture. 10. Not given to wine. 11. No striker. 12. Not greedy of filthy lucre. 13. Patient. 14. Not a brawler. 15. Not covetous. 16. One that rules well his own house. 17. Having his children in subjection with all gravity, for if a man knows not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God? 18. Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 19. Moreover, he must have a good report of them which are without, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. A cult leader twists these qualifications. A true Pastor does not.

Warning Signs that You are in a Cult
If you suspect the group you are in is harmful, but are not sure, ask yourself these questions:
If you suspect the group you are in is harmful, but are not sure, ask yourself these questions:
- do they claim to have a special corner on the truth, something no other groups has?
- are you told to not question what is being taught, as the leadership are godly, honest, have divine authority and you must trust them?
- are you discouraged from asking questions as to why members have left, and expected to accept the reasons the group leadership gives you?
- do they put down other churches, groups, etc, while pointing out their faults and errors to build themselves up? do they use peoples faults and sins as examples of what to do and what not to do?
- are you made to feel your failures, as though your performance is not up to par to their righteous standards?
- do they recommend for you to be around their people, expecting you to attend all group activities? if you do not, are you are questioned about your spirituality or dedication?
- do they stop you from reading anything negative about themselves?
- do they call those who fall away enemies, dogs, or cancer, even using examples from the Bible or other such materials?
- do they place and emphasis on evil and the devil, declaring that the world outside is a threat to the group?
- do they defend themselves in every area?
- do they give importance to a spiritual goal, such as enlightenment, godliness, salvation, that has no real tangible way of being measured?
- do they operate in humility, or seem arrogant, and make demands on you to obey, using such statements such as “real believers obey without question or if you really were a devoted follower you would do such and such"?
- an instant bonding or friendship without even knowing you
- being told you have a special calling or potential and that if you join you will move further ahead; flattery is used often in cults
- when you ask questions about the history of the group, the answers are vague or avoided altogether
- feeling that something is being hidden from you
- Cults will always divide the family unit instead of bringing them together. They will make you choose between God and their church. They use scriptures such as: "Jesus came to bring a sword, not peace" or "one must give up brothers, sisters, wife, and house for the kingdom and be a true follower". Children often become the most hurt because of strict rules enforced on them. They lose their childhood and are deeply affected, being unable to adjust later on in life. Religious systems that are not balanced can be socially and psychologically disastrous for innocent children.
