THE APOSTLE PAUL'S STRUGGLE WITH SIN!
The Apostle Paul came to fully realize, the only righteousness he will ever have, is that given to him by Jesus Christ!
From The King James Holy Bible, Romans 7:25
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
ARE PAUL’S EPISTLES THE ONLY BOOKS FOR DOCTRINE TODAY?

We are told over and over again by dispensationalists that Romans through Philemon are the only books for doctrine today. But is this true? Let’s ask the man himself. Paul, are your epistles the only books for doctrine today? Paul says no. We then ask him; what books of the Bible should we use to teach and preach doctrine to God’s people today? Paul answered that question years ago in 2 Timothy 3:16: In this one verse Paul told us what books of the Bible we should use to teach doctrine today. He said: ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God, and is PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Do you see what books of the Bible are profitable for doctrine today? According to Paul the apostle of the gentiles, ALL SCRIPTURE is profitable for doctrine. He did not say my epistles only as these hyper dispensationalists teach. He said ALL SCRIPTURE is profitable for doctrine.
This is why he quotes the Old Testament between 150-200 times in his epistles. This is why he uses the expression, as it is written, referring to the Old Testament, 33 times in his epistles. This is why he bases at least 55 church doctrines on the Old Testament scriptures. This is why major doctrines of the church are based upon the Old Testament scriptures such as: the Gospel, Justification by Faith, Righteousness by Faith, The Promise of the Indwelling Spirit of God, and the Resurrection of the Dead, and Translation of Living saints at Christ’s coming, and many more.
Another fact is this; when Paul preached and taught the word of God during his life time what books of the Bible did he have in his possession? Some people think he had all 66 books of the Bible in his hands like us. But the fact is, the only books of the Bible that Paul and all the apostles and Christ preached and taught from were Old Testament books especially the prophets like Isaiah the most quoted Old Testament book in the New Testament.
So who are you going to believe? The hyper dispensationalists who say Romans through Philemon are the only books for doctrine today, or the apostle Paul who said ALL SCRIPTURE is profitable for doctrine today?

Paul's struggle with sin in his flesh (body members). Correction of the heart (mind) comes in later doctrine!
Many Preachers today make it seem like it is OK to sin, because they sin.
When they talk about sinning, they say, "Well the Apostle Paul struggled with sin!"
And Paul did, but, many Preachers today make it seem like Paul struggled with sin his whole life. This is not true.
Paul struggled with body member sin. He learned the corrective doctrine. He worked through this struggle doctrinally. He emerged victorious. And then he rejoiced!
After his struggle he emerged victorious! "THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD!"

Jesus Christ Has Paid For All The Sins Of The Earth!
~ PAST ~ PRESENT ~ FUTURE ~
Sin is not the issue anymore!
The issue for today is do you trust in Jesus Christ for your Salvation or not?
PAUL CAME TO TRUST TOTALLY IN JESUS CHRIST FOR HIS SALVATION!
~ PAST ~ PRESENT ~ FUTURE ~
Sin is not the issue anymore!
The issue for today is do you trust in Jesus Christ for your Salvation or not?
PAUL CAME TO TRUST TOTALLY IN JESUS CHRIST FOR HIS SALVATION!
If Paul was still struggling with sin, he would not be thanking God.

Romans 7:15
15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
The things Paul is doing, he is not allowing it to happen. The things he wants to do, he is not doing. Paul hates sin, yet, Paul does sin. If you do not "HATE" sin, you got big problems. Sin crucified Christ! You should be ashamed of your time past sin.
------------------------------
Romans 7:16
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
If your mind is wanting to do right, but you don't, then, you are agreeing that "THE LAW" is good.
------------------------------
Romans 7:17
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Sin dwells in Paul. Paul wants to do right, but was struggling with sin back and forth. There are two ways to think. You want to do right, but then you don't.
------------------------------
Romans 7:18
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Many Preachers screw this up. They teach as if body members have little independent brains. They make it seem like the sin that dwells within you is from the neck down. Like the body members have these things they want to do. The flesh here is "THE OLD MAN!" The old man is what God crucified. "THE BATTLE IS IN THE MIND!" Your heart is your mind.
The battle is in the mind, your heart. Look at (Romans 6:6) below.
Romans 6:6
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
The heart is the mind. Look at (Jeremiah 7:31) and (Jeremiah 19:5) below. Came into my heart in one verse, then, came into my mind in the next verse.
Jeremiah 7:31
31 And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.
Jeremiah 19:5 (before He said heart, and now He says mind. Thus, the heart is the mind)
5 They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:
Proverbs 23:7
7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
Matthew 12:34
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
In your thinking regarding things spiritual, not the earthly as a believer, God crucifies you with his Son. You still retain earthly knowledge to do your profession, such as a policeman or electrician.
YOU BRING NOTHING GOOD TO THE TABLE ON YOUR OWN THINKING OF THINGS IN THE ETERNAL!
Man is so screwed up, God had to have His own Son crucified on the Cross to save believers.
In verse 18 of Romans Chapter 7 above, your flesh is your way of thinking about things above. Things that are eternal.
Jeremiah 17:9
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Proverbs 28:26
26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
THE KING JAMES HOLY BIBLE IS "ALL" AUTHORITY! GOD GAVE US THIS BOOK TO HELP US!
You can not be saved with your own thinking...
In verse 18 of Romans Chapter 7 above, Paul can not find how to do good, yet, look at his qualifications below in (Philippians 3:4-6).
Philippians 3:4-6
4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
Yet, Paul counted it all but dung, so as that he could win Christ in (Philippians 3:8) below.
Philippians 3:8
8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
IF THE APOSTLE PAUL COULD NOT FIND HOW TO DO GOOD, YOU SURE ARE NOT GOING TO FIND IT AS WELL!
Only God can show you how to perform good! God does the performing through your flesh to do good! Look at (Philippians 1:6) below.
Philippians 1:6
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
When you "OBEY" in your heart (mind), you become free of sin! Look at (Romans 6:17 & 18) below.
Romans 6:17 & 18
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
Anything good that comes out of us is by the fruits of Jesus Christ!
------------------------------
Romans 7:19
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Paul is coming to the peak of his thinking.
------------------------------
Romans 7:20
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Sin dwells in your stupid heart (mind). Your "OLD MAN" wants the things in (1 John 2:16) below.
1 John 2:16
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
GOD CRUCIFIES THE "OLD MAN," DON'T YOU RESURRECT HIM!
------------------------------
Romans 7:21
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
As long as you live in a mortal body of the flesh, evil is always present with you in your heart (mind). You can not get rid of it until the Lord returns, or by when you die physically.
Believe God! Let the "OLD MAN" die! Look at (Acts 27:25) below!
Acts 27:25
25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.
Your "OLD MAN" thinking, and flesh of mind and body is always present, but you sure do not follow the "OLD MAN" thinking! Look at (Romans 6:6) below.
Romans 6:6
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
------------------------------
Romans 7:22
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
------------------------------
Romans 7:23
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
If you activate your "OLD MAN," and reject the words of God, and you no longer believe your "OLD MAN" was crucified with Christ, you will go back to your "OLD MAN" ways and sin.
Flesh will "WIN" every time when you struggle with sin. Look at (Galatians 5:17) below.
Galatians 5:17
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Again, flesh will "WIN" every time when you struggle with sin.
The only way to "WIN" this struggle with sin is Jesus Christ and your Salvation. Believe in Jesus, have faith in His blood, and be fully persuaded. (TRUST IN JESUS!)
------------------------------
Romans 7:24
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
The bodies that we live in are dying. We live in a sin cursed world. And the flesh our souls reside in, "WANT SIN!"
------------------------------
Romans 7:25
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
Paul emerges victorious in verse 25 above! Paul got the answer. The "OLD MAN," the flesh, gets crucified with Christ.
The Apostle Paul thanked God through Jesus Christ our Lord who delivers us from the body of death!
"YOU CAN NOT LIVE THE LIFE OF A BELIEVER WITH YOUR OLD MAN THINKING!"
This verse, (Romans 7:24) above, is the echo of (Romans 6:6) below.
Romans 6:6
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
OLD MAN = SIN OF THE FLESH
CRUCIFIED OLD MAN = MIND THAT SERVES THE LAW OF GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST
God works in you "AFTER" you are saved. Look at (Colossians 1:29), (Philippians 1:11), and (Philippians 2:13) below.
Colossians 1:29
29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
Philippians 1:11
11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
Philippians 2:13
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
------------------------------
Romans 7:15
15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
This is a bit off the topic, but it shows what happens when we follow the flesh!
1 Corinthians 10:13
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

A person has to...
Believe in Jesus!
Have faith in His blood!
Be fully persuaded!
Trusting totally in Jesus!
That Jesus is who He is!
That He’ll do what He says He’ll do!
Before a person can call upon Him!
Believe in Jesus!
Have faith in His blood!
Be fully persuaded!
Trusting totally in Jesus!
That Jesus is who He is!
That He’ll do what He says He’ll do!
Before a person can call upon Him!
LET CHRIST BE THE ONE THAT DOES THE WORK THROUGH YOUR FLESH!
If the spirit of the world can work thru us, HOW MUCH MORE THE LORD!
The Gospel of Christ, as taught by the Apostle Paul, points to THE WAY!
But remember, the Apostle Paul is not THE WAY!
Christ Jesus is THE WAY that makes the Gospel have LIFE!
The Apostle Paul always focused on THE WAY, our Lord and Saviour Jesus The Christ!
Paul is just a part of God’s plan.
Just as the Lord enabled Paul, so does He you and me!
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
