TRUTH
100 SIGNS THAT YOU ARE IN A CULT!
THE BELOW 100 WAS MY EXPERIENCE IN MARTIN RICHLING'S CHURCH!
THE SCRIPTURES ALONE BIBLE SCHOOL (TSABS) LOCATED IN PEKIN, INDIANA
I WAS IN HIS CHURCH FROM OCTOBER OF 2013 - TO - APRIL OF 2015
1. There is only one charismatic leader in the group! "ENDOWED WITH THE GIFT OF GAB!" (The ability to speak easily and confidently in a way that makes people want to listen to him, and believe him!)
2. This one charismatic leader is the only one that is right interpreting scriptures. If you do not agree with him, and repent, he will throw you out of the Church. He then gives you the title of being a fool, and a rejector of the King James Holy Bible. He also makes a YouTube video about you, slamming your good name.
3. The leader is obsessive compulsive (OCD). (Denoting or relating to a disorder in which a person feels compelled to perform certain actions repeatedly in order to alleviate obsessive fears or intrusive thoughts, typically resulting in severe disruption of daily life.) The Leader claims he reads his Bible 8 hours each day... His wife had to adjust, because he is perfect rightly dividing the Holy Bible. With his own mouth, he told the Church he is obsessive compulsive.
4. The leader puts out in writing, audio, or video everyday, on how special his place is and what he is doing. His location on earth must somehow be very special... Besides this, anytime adverse weather is approaching where he lives, he posts on Facebook, and Tweets a lot about it as if where he lives is somehow more important than where you live... Why? Seeing a nice picture or short video of his home and surrounding area every once in a while is nice, but every day? "Ah... give it a rest!"
5. The leader demands that you do certain things each day. Each week you have to report in, in writing. He called it the Monday check in. It is supposed to be a Monday check in, yet, the leader puts up a post to start checking in on Sunday. If people don't check in on Sunday, for a Monday check in, he gets aggravated. "Very confusing!"
6. If you do not obey, you are belittled in front of all and not in private. He makes a video on you, and shows it via YouTube to the whole Church. "As time goes by, you begin to feel the leader is the Judge, the Jury, and the executioner!"
7. If belittling a member does not work, the member is then thrown out of the group. If you decide you want back in the group, you have to crawl back in (figure of speech) admitting what a fool you have been!
8. You are always saying or doing something that is wrong in the leader's eyes. You begin to feel, you have a monkey on your back all the time!
9. When a person leaves the group, or is kicked out by the leader, you are ordered to have nothing to do with the person that left or is kicked out. By doing this, he keeps his group isolated. This makes the group easier to control.
10. When a person leaves the group or is kicked out, even though the member has not changed at all, the other members turn on the previous member. One day the member is loved, the next day the member is marked and hated. The leader has three core beliefs. If you do not go along with them, you get the title of being wicked and evil. If you are a woman, you get the title of Jezebel.
11. The member that leaves or is kicked out is given the title of a fool, and is made out to be a wicked person. They are accused of not obeying the Holy Scriptures, and that they have rejected the King James Holy Bible. The leader makes a slam YouTube video about the person. When he makes a heretic video, he puts it on his Website, and leaves it up for several weeks. He boasts about the video, saying, "I will leave it up and let it simmer..." There is a sense of vindictiveness about the whole thing.
12. When a member leaves the group or is kicked out, the leader puts out a written, audio, or video report on the departing person belittling and slamming the person.
13. The charismatic leader usually has a questionable past that does not add up. This leader threw out of his Church a young man because of great fear. The young man wanted to buy a gun and get a concealed carry permit. The leader previously spent almost 5 years in prison. Because of this, he is not allowed to have a firearm on him, nor on his property. The leader was afraid the young man would come to his home with the firearm where the Church building is located, so the leader threw the young man out of the Church. The leader did not want to run the chance of having a firearm on his property, and wind up going back to prison for violating Court Orders. Throwing the young man out of the Church, was this the action of a real Pastor? No! "The word phony comes to mind for me!
14. Besides the leader, members say ugly things to the former member that are not true. The former member's faith has not changed, yet, the leader marked you. So, all the remaining members in the Church avoid you. As time goes by, you begin to understand, you are in a toxic Church.
15. Instead of the leader being a helper of your joy, you have the nagging feeling the leader is having dominion over your faith and life. You better believe exactly as he dictates. If you make a long trip or something, the leader wants to know about it. The leader posted a video of a famous marching band. He announced to the whole Church how we should all believe alike together, and be a family marching in unison together, just like that professional marching band! "Ay ya ya..." Things were getting creepy...
16. As a new member, the leader paid you much attention. But as time goes by, your questions to the leader become stupid and foolish. You are made ashamed by the leader for even asking questions. Since you send money supporting the ministry. You would think as a supporting member you would be able to ask some questions.
17. The leader constantly resorts to derogatory name calling, such as calling members or other people foolish, retarded, stupid, a dolt, wicked, a serpent, a liar, or the such like. Again, this is a toxic environment!
18. The leader has a very low regard for females. He stated that women should call their husbands lord. I feel so sorry for his wife. The leader claims there is "only one reason to marry a woman!" And that reason is to have sex... The leader claims that any female teaching the Holy Bible, absolutely "HATES" the Lord Jesus Christ.
19. The leader has a low regard for races other than his own. Prejudice, bigotry, and racism have no place in a true Pastor! A nice black man in the Church posted a picture of a black Jesus. The next day, he was booted from the Church... One time I heard him say, "I wish all Muslims were dead!"
20. The leader corrects you for something that was not correct. Then, when the leader finds out later he was wrong, he does not tell the other Church members a mistake was made. Why? Because the leader does not want to look bad in his spiritual discernment. You just have to live with the injustice the leader put on you. A member was taking an A.C.T.S. (Acceptance Commitment Therapy School) Class with the Veteran's Administration. The leader thought it was a Bible Class. He thought A.C.T.S. was a Bible Class on the book of Acts... So, the leader proceeds to give instructions to the man on how to witness to the VA Class. The man was so confused. The whole thing did not make any sense. The man thought the leader knew what the Class was about. The leader did not, and the man did not know it. So, they were operating on different assumptions. When the man did not perform to the leaders marching orders, he made a Church video slamming the man. The leader railed on the man. So about two weeks go by. The leader is told a woman was teaching the VA Class. The truth came out. The leader said, "What! A stupid woman teaching a Bible Class?" It was explained to the leader what A.C.T.S. means. The leader realized he was in error. Did he make another video correcting the wrong things he said about the man? "NO!" He did not want to look bad to the Church.
21. The leader ruthlessly attacks other organizations. Again... Prejudice, bigotry, and racism have no place in a true Pastor!
22. When you leave the group or are kicked out, the leader threatens you saying that you will suffer utter destruction, and that you will not even see it coming. Was this a Biblical threat? Or, was this a personal threat on my life? I don't know? He did spend almost 5 years in prison with an unsavory past...
23. The leader told me once, "You know, I could destroy you!" Was this a threat on my life? I don't know?
24. There is only one way of doing things, and that is the leader's way. "HIS WAY, OR THE HIGHWAY!"
25. The leader claims there is no division in the group. All are like minded! Duh! Don't agree with the leader and out the door you go!
26. The leader accuses you of being a proud fool, and that is why you are backsliding and not moving forward. You begin to feel like a yo-yo.
27. If the leader does not like something you say, do, post, or write, you are contacted immediately by him and told to explain yourself!
28. You are asked at times odd questions about other Church members to see how your spiritual discernment is coming along. People answer, but are never right. Only the Church leader is right.
29. You are asked to spy on other Church members, and to report your findings to the leader.
S A T A N I C !
30. You are made to feel, since he only rightly divides God's words, if you leave him, you are doomed.
31. The leader teaches patience and long suffering, but he himself has none.
32. You begin to notice, that certain members of the Church are the leader's spies. This is very unsettling. A member or two are current Police Officers. You wonder to yourself, "Does the leader ask them for information that only a current Police Officer has access to?" I can't imagine them doing so... But still, you can't help but wonder... "Now tell me, what on earth does a Pastor need spies for?" "What the heck kind of Church is this?"
33. You are told to contact the leader by some video device, then when you do, when he answers, he clearly ignores you for an annoying time, doing other things not looking at you. This is very rude. You get the feeling the leader is exercising dominance over you. Then, when he looks at you... You try to speak... He says, "Shut up, I am running this show!"
34. When talking to the leader, many times you are told to be quiet, "I AM RUNNING THIS SHOW!"
35. In time, you realize the leader has a motor mouth. You get the distinct impression he loves to hear himself speak. You realize he has a compulsive talking problem. There are two types of excessive talkers. Attention seeking talkers, or talkers whose brains are in overdrive. This Pastor fits the bill for both categories.
36. The Apostle Paul says in (1 Corinthians 5:11). "But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat." But yet, the leader is a "RAILER!" He is constantly railing on members, people, or other organizations all the time! From Webster's 1828 Online Dictionary: Railer / RA'ILER, noun One who scoffs, insults, censures or reproaches with opprobrious language.
37. The leader says a derogatory thing to you about another Church member that is extremely inappropriate and hateful. Such as:
1. She is a black person, and you know how they are... "NOT TOO PRODUCTIVE!"
2. That picture of her is screaming of... "OH, WOULD SOMEBODY SCREW ME!"
3. The reason you cannot find a husband... "IS BECAUSE YOU ARE UGLY!"
4. Ignore what that member says... "BECAUSE HE IS A DRUNK!"
5. That member is a... "DRAMA QUEEN!" (this particular member was a sincere, kind man)
6. You are a... "FAGGOT!"
7. He is a... "STUPID, FOOLISH OLD MAN!"
8. I feel sorry for his wife... "MARRIED TO THAT FOOL!"
9. He is marrying a nice little package... "SAID WITH A SEXUAL INNUENDO, SMIRK!"
38. The Church gives money to Church members in another country that has fallen upon some hard times. Then, after the Church members are thrown out of the Church (reason unknown), the leader wants the money back from the needy members he helped, threatening legal action... "PATHETIC!" Isn't it!
39. You are asked often to state the core beliefs of the Church in writing. The leader has a man in the Church that has the job of checking all scriptures that members post. You are not allowed to make one single error. The leader checks to make sure you are reading from a perfect King James Holy Bible (PCE). The leader claims only a perfect King James Bible (PCE) can save someone. "NOW..." HERE COMES THE BIG SHOCK! The leader was preaching to the Church out of a Bible a Church member made for him. It was discovered this Bible had pages missing and other errors that occurred in printing. "I GUESS THE LEADER FORGOT TO CHECK HIS BIBLE!" Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black...
40. The leader claims that he is the only one established in the faith. There is only one person I know that is established in the faith, and that is my Lord, my Savior, my King, "Jesus Christ!"
41. The leader has no certificate whatsoever that he is in fact a real, certified Pastor. (I do not say this is a requirement in my own mind, however, it is a red flag.)
42. The leader says to you often, "Do you think you are smarter than me?"
43. You walk around day after day thinking, "Something is just not right?" "Something is wrong?" "Why are things always so toxic?" It is as if the Church is (a he said... she said... tattle-tail... environment!)
44. If you happen to be a very successful person in life, you begin to notice the leader slams people because of it. Does success in life from being a honest hard worker intimidate him? Is he trying to keep people down? One time he said to me, "I notice rebellion rising in you, and I have to squash it." I ask you, "Are these words of a Pastor, or a cult leader?"
45. The leader complains that one member only sends him five bucks a month. This person was a single mother, trying to get by.
46. The leader makes secret audio recordings, and does not tell the person that he is talking to, that this conversation is being recorded. The leader uses these secret recordings against the person he recorded. This is illegal in some states, and legal in others. Regardless, even if legal, to do so reflects low moral standards. Would a real Man of God do such a thing? I think not!
S A T A N I C !
47. The leader mentions often about being a good shot with a firearm, and that he has killed people because he was a better shot than them. Of course this was under legal circumstances, but still, this is unseemly and in poor taste.
48. The leader says, that if a sinner can not stop sinning, that the sinner would be better off if they would just kill themselves, instead of just piling up more sin debt. A Pastor promoting suicide! WHAT THE HECK?
S A T A N I C !
Jesus Christ paid for the sins of the world.
Why would the leader promote SUICIDE? Only one answer, this is SATANIC!
Why would the leader promote SUICIDE? Only one answer, this is SATANIC!
49. The leader claims the Holy Bible says the Sun goes around the Earth, and not the Earth around the Sun. Science clearly shows the Earth goes around the Sun! However, I will say, some physicists believe there may be as many as 11 dimensions? Is it possible that in 11 dimensions the Sun does go around the Earth? Well, I am a 4 dimensional being right now, so, the Earth goes around the Sun for me!
50. The leader claims the Moon has it's own light source, when Science clearly shows, the moon shines because it's surface reflects light from the sun.
51. The leader says that there are no such things as comets, meteors, and asteroids. He says they are stars when science clearly shows what they really are.
52. The leader has a few medical problems, but refuses to go to the Doctor for treatment.
53. The leader has a couple of friends from the past that are not held to the current group standards. Yet, they do not get booted from the Church as other members have.
54. The leader claims that he does not sin anymore, and now lives a sin free life. (The Holy Bible says, "For there is no man which sinneth not!")
55. I heard the leader state once that he should command such and such to marry such and such person. He did not do this, but this was very alarming to me that he even thought of this. This is a big cult red flag!
56. You get the feeling the leader is never happy, that he always has a chip on his shoulder. The leader seems angry all the time. You get the feeling, he thinks he was treated unfairly in the past, and holding a grudge. "EVERY DAY" he is calling someone a fool!
57. The leader's wife is always very quiet. The leader says she is just a real bashful person. Well, maybe this is perfectly true. But, being the leader rails (one who scoffs, insults, censures or reproaches with opprobrious language) on everyone else, you just have to wonder, does he rail on his wife? The leader teaches to never take any crap from a woman. I heard the leader say once, "All woman should call their husbands lord!" He also talked once about how his wife had to get with the program fast... (Reminds me of number 20 above. "I AM PERFECT, YOU ADJUST!")
58. The leader says there is no such thing as an ocean. The word ocean is not in the Bible. The word sea is in the Bible. So, when talking to him, you are not allowed to say ocean. You must use the word sea. If you say to him, "Hallelujah!" Look out... You have to say, "Alleluia!" The leader claims there are only 2 seasons in a year. This is because spring and fall are not in the Bible. These are three examples. There are others...
59. You can't say hello. You have to say greetings. Why? Because hello is hell with the letter "o" added. You are to say farewell, and not bye. These are two examples. There are others...
60. The leader demands you spell certain words as spelled in the Bible. Music is properly spelled musick. Heretic is properly spelled heretick. Right is properly spelled aright. These are three examples. There are others...
61. The leader claims he has read his Bible almost 300 times. Further, that he reads his Bible 8 hours a day. He claims this is not a boast, but yet, I heard it from him all the time? Why? I suspect he is full of pride... When he accuses you, that you are full of pride, he is right, and never wrong. But if you accuse him of being full of pride, you are a lying fool and wicked person. (Read number 3 above again!)
62. I have clearly noticed people that have left the Church on their own, or that were kicked out, suffer from signs of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD):
1. Having nightmares. Such as having dreams the end of the world is coming soon.
2. Feeling emotionally cut off from others. Such as becoming distant to your wife.
3. Feeling numb or losing interest in things you used to care about. Such as losing interest in your hobbies.
4. Becoming depressed. Such as feeling all the time you are not good enough.
5. Thinking that you are always in danger. The leader kept telling everyone that you are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
6. Feeling anxious all the time. Read number 5 again.
7. Experiencing a sense of panic that something bad is about to happen. Again, read number 5.
8. Having difficulty sleeping. Read again numbers 1 thru 7.
9. Having a hard time relating to, and getting along with your spouse, family, or friends.
10. You pull away from other good people & become isolated. The leader commands to avoid many good people.
1. Having nightmares. Such as having dreams the end of the world is coming soon.
2. Feeling emotionally cut off from others. Such as becoming distant to your wife.
3. Feeling numb or losing interest in things you used to care about. Such as losing interest in your hobbies.

9. Having a hard time relating to, and getting along with your spouse, family, or friends.
10. You pull away from other good people & become isolated. The leader commands to avoid many good people.
63. I attended "The Lord's Supper Ceremony" at this leader's Church. Men were given certain scriptures to read during the Ceremony. Once the Ceremony was over, we assembled in the Church building. The Leader went to the pulpit, then commenced to rail on all the Church members present. Around seven men or so read scripture during the Ceremony. The leader was furious, because during the readings, a word was missed, a comma missed, a pronunciation wrong, a question not emphasized as a question, or whatever... The leader railed on the men that read for some time. As I sat there, I was shocked! The leader railed like Adolf Hitler did during WWII when Hitler gave a speech. The leader even had an elderly man come forward and had him read to us like a little child. The whole thing was very uncomfortable and upsetting. Check out this short YouTube video of Hitler speaking. This is what the leader looked like railing on his Church! His railings were not as bad as Hitler's railings in this video, but somewhat similar. As he railed on the Church, I thought of "HITLER!" (Read number 3 above again!) https://youtu.be/1t7SYmGC_Lo
64. I once used the word champion in a post. My post got deleted by the leader. I asked why? He said we do not use the word champion, because Goliath was a champion in the Bible. The word champion is a bad word.
65. In a YouTube video, the leader said he wished heretics were even cut-off. Meaning dead! This leader is a Grace Preacher. I am fully persuaded Grace Preaching is correct. But, the way this leader acts all the time, you get the feeling he is the "GRACE GESTAPO!" (GESTAPO: "Secret State Police" The official secret police of Nazi Germany and German-occupied Europe.)
S A T A N I C !
66. The leader takes great pride in all the people he has saved. I got made fun of by him because he feels I have saved no one. He was comparing me to himself, and how I stack up. THIS IS NOT BIBLICAL!
From the King James Holy Bible, 2 Corinthians 10:12
12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
From the King James Holy Bible, 2 Corinthians 10:12
12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
67. The leader claims the word "goddamn" is not a bad word. Well, I sure am not going to say it. And I certainly did not like typing it. To the leader's credit, I never heard him say common bad words that people use. Insulting names yes, but never words like the "F" word.
68. The leader gives you the feeling the last days are just around the corner. Well, maybe... And, maybe not... But still, you start to worry about it all the time.
69. The leader often tells you that he and you are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. You can't help but wonder, where is this all going? Remember Peoples Temple (1978) / Solar Temple (1994–97) / Heaven's Gate (1997).
70. You are made to feel, day after day, that you can never be "good enough". This becomes very depressing.
71. The leader says he speaks for the whole Church, yet, he does not asked anyone else their opinion. Nor does he even care for the opinions of others. A few times he made some preposterous statements using my name. He did not even ask my opinion. I would have not supported his outrageous statement.
72. The leader is so deceived and vain, that he even thinks past members, or members that he has kicked out, still want his lessons.
73. The leader is so vain, and thinks that he is so special, that he has his lessons password protected. As a special note here, things got scary. The leader started to compare his ministry, to the ministry of Jesus. He stated that Jesus taught openly for a year, and that is what he did. Then after a year, Jesus went underground so to speak... And that he, the leader, is going to go underground, so to speak... Soon after this, I decided, "I AM OUT OF HERE!
74. The leader enjoys and thrives on controversy! This is far from normal for most human beings in this world we live in. When he kicks people out of the Church, or they leave one their own, he puts out videos calling them "LIARS, FULL OF PRIDE, AND THAT THEY REJECT THE KING JAMES HOLY BIBLE!" This is vindictive.
75. The leader has some negative personality traits consisting of: (•Picky •Pompous •Finicky •Sarcastic •Arrogant •Sneaky •Rude •Quarrelsome •Self-centered •Boorish •Surly •Thoughtless •Bossy •Malicious •Conceited •Obnoxious)
76. The leader said that long ago he once burned a person with a cigarette to show the person what burning in Hell was like. Sounds like assault to me, the act of creating apprehension of an imminent harmful or offensive contact with a person.
S A T A N I C !
77. The leader claims the only way to properly train dogs is to beat them with a stave, because that is what the Bible says. His reasoning is from what Goliath said to David in (1 Samuel 17:43).
From the King James Holy Bible, 1 Samuel 17:43
43 And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.
From the King James Holy Bible, 1 Samuel 17:43
43 And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.
78. The leader made a spoof video with another Church member. They were dressed up like terrorists with masks on their faces. The leader held a sword, and the other male Church member held a maul with a spike. These weapons were real! Now I need to point out here, this was all in good fun. It was all over the emptying of a portable latrine. The video was harmless. But here was the problem. There was a woman in the Church that was a new member. She was upset with the video and thought it was not funny in the current times we live in with all the terrorism going on in the world. The leader is a firm believer that the Bible says a woman can not correct a man. So the leader threw the woman out of the Church for criticizing the spoof video. Booting the new member from the Church was blatantly inauthentic on the leader's part.
From the King James Holy Bible, Ephesians 5:4
4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
From the King James Holy Bible, Ephesians 5:4
4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
79. The leader makes claims not supported by common sense. Such as there is no such thing as a percent over 100%. The truth is, there is nothing intrinsically wrong with using percentages greater than 100%. Whether or not this makes sense depends entirely on the context.
80. The leader claims all the time that he is nobody, yet, when you leave his Church or are kicked out, he clings to your shoes as stepped in dog crap, pumping out more slanderous YouTube videos on former members. He is a nobody all right! Nobody cares anymore. Before I left his Church, he was bewildered why his YouTube video views were plummeting downward. Maybe people are getting tired of scraping dog crap off their shoes...
81. You ask fellow members a question like, "Do you think this Church is a Cult?" They avoid your question! Why is your question being avoided? This is another red flag.
82. The leader states publicly often, "People say we are a cult!" Another red flag!
83. There are very small children in the Church. The leader's railings go on even in front of these little children. Let's assume that everything he preaches is true and correct. Even with that, would you want your children to be exposed to the leader's railing antics? Monkey see... Monkey do... (An expression describing someone who imitates another person's actions, good or bad, simply by having watched them many times before.)
84. The leader has found something in the Bible that nobody else has ever found before. And this something else he has found, he preaches to the point of ad nauseam!
85. The leader tells you all the time he loves you, but if you cross him, all the love goes out the front door! Then, here comes the hateful YouTube videos.
86. After you are gone from the group, you keep hearing that others got thrown out of the group by the leader.
87. When people leave the group or are kicked out, the leader emphasizes constantly to the remaining people on how special they are for hanging in there. You are made to feel his Church is the only body of Christ, and that people he kicks out or that leave his Church on their own, are the people of (1 Timothy 4:1).
From the King James Holy Bible, 1 Timothy 4:1
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
From the King James Holy Bible, 1 Timothy 4:1
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
88. The leader has a class where he teaches little children. You find out later that earlier in the leader's own life he gave up his own little children for adoption. The circumstances may be perfectly understandable and logical, but still, it is another red flag.
89. I heard the leader say of another Pastor, "I bet he beats his wife!" There was absolutely no grounds whatsoever to make such a statement.
90. You hear constantly from the leader, "They can't attack the message, so they attack the messenger!" You begin to wonder, "Why does this never end?" Another red flag. He himself attacks people all the time in YouTube videos.
91. The leader claims he receives hate mail everyday. Another red flag.
92. The leader claims there is no audio Bible on the market that is orated properly. The leader claims he is going to record one orated by himself. Well, I don't want it. I am tired of his obnoxious voice. And more important, by his own words, he barely graduated from High School. During my time in his Church, he often botched up the pronunciations of biblical names. (On a side note, I myself am no orator. I certainly could not do a good job reading the Bible and making a recording.)
93. A former member called the Police to report the leader kept bothering him. The Police called the leader. The leader said he would not bother the former member anymore. There may have been logical reasons for the leader to keep contacting the former member, but still, this is another red flag.
94. The leader uses all the time black-and-white, simplistic reasoning. This is a red flag. Black-and-white thinking is cognitive distortion. Such as, we have to be perfect or we’re a failure. There is no middle ground. This leader places people or situations in either/or categories, with no shades of gray, or allowing for the complexity of most people and situations. If your performance falls short of perfect, you see yourself as a total failure. (http://psychcentral.com/lib/15-common-cognitive-distortions/2153/)
95. Cults are often very prejudiced against a particular group of people like certain races, religions, political parties, and any one that is not part of their group. This particular leader is on a one man campaign to renounce all Pastors of the world, other than himself.
96. As time went by, there was an escalating commitment to the Church. Not unusual in Churches, but the problem with this leader, it was not a request, it was a demand... He stated, "We are not going to have keyboard believers in the Church!" Well, there goes free will...
97. I noticed in the Church, the longer I was there, everyone was developing the attitude and mentality of "US VERSUS THEM!"
98. The leader is under the opinion there is no valid reason to leave his Church. For me, this is a most telling attribute of a destructive organization. Here we go again, another red flag!
99. This particular leader proclaims Divine Authority (my opinion) in a very alluring, cleaver, and deceiving way. He constantly proclaims that he is nothing. He does this to convince people that he alone rightly divides The King James Holy Bible. Because he is apt at getting people to believe he is nothing, they feel safe that he will not steer them wrong. BUT HE DOES STEER YOU WRONG!
100. The leader claims he is manifesting the life of Christ through his flesh. Yes, the Bible says we are to do so. Well then, with this leader, why all the above problems? Read the negative personality traits in number 75 above again. With negative traits like that, is this manifesting Christ? No, not at all. If the life of Christ was being manifested through this leader's flesh, certainly all the above 99 issues would not exist! The Jesus I know is described in (James 5:11).
From the King James Holy Bible, James 5:11
11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Martin Richling is on his HIGH HORSE just like most Religious groups of today. The truth is, Martin Richling and his Church members are NO BETTER than any other human being living on this earth today. Martin Richling and his Church members are all sinners just like all human beings on the earth, AND THEY ALL NEED A SAVIOUR! And that Saviour for us all is Jesus Christ! I glory in the CROSS just like the Apostle Paul did! Jesus Christ did ALL THE WORK ON THE CROSS for Roger Lee Black to be saved! I am a sinner doomed for Hell, but I am not going to Hell, because I TRUST IN ALL THE WORK JESUS CHRIST did for me! JESUS CHRIST IS ALL! JESUS CHRIST DID IT ALL!
I Trust in Jesus, I Believe in Jesus, I have Faith in His Blood, and I am Fully Persuaded!
Martin Richling claims he does not sin anymore, yet, he bullies people all the time by means of the media!
Martin Richling tells you he loves you. Disagree with him ONCE, and you immediately become the DEVIL...

From The King James Holy Bible, Ephesians 1:12-13
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
BELIEVE & FAITH vs TRUST
Example 1: When I was a young Deputy Sheriff, I believed and had faith that my fellow Deputies were in fact certificated Law Enforcement Officers. In an extreme dangerous situation, I could TRUST in 99% of them. Like in all professions, there is always someone that slips through the cracks, where you know they should not be there... In 1% of my fellow Deputies, I could not TRUST IN THEM in an extreme dangerous situation!
Example 2: When I was a Captain for American Airlines, I believed and had faith that my Copilots were in fact FAA Certificated Pilots. When flying with a new Copilot, I could not TRUST them to fly a leg into a dangerous weather situation. Flying in all weather conditions safely, takes years of seasoning as a Pilot. A Copilot with years of seasoning, you can TRUST!
I BELIEVE IN JESUS, AND HAVE FAITH IN HIS BLOOD, AND TRUST IN HIM 100% THAT HE COMPLETED ALL THE WORK NECESSARY FOR MY SALVATION! AND, I AM FULLY PERSUADED!
PS: I sent some money to a Police Officer Church Member for some car bumper stickers that he was having made. If I remember correctly, I sent him $25.00. Years later now, I have received nothing. I guess he used the money to buy donuts? Beats me?

DURING THIS TIME, I NEVER HEARD HIM PRAY "IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS..."
DURING THIS TIME, I NEVER HEARD HIM PRAY "IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS..."
"WHY?"
Having a mighty love for God and seeking Him, as I do, can sure get you in some odd situations. My experience in this above cult has not dissuaded me! I love God with all my heart and soul! And more important than that, I know God loves me! Just look what Jesus Christ did for me! Logic tells me the above group will say I am falling faster than a lead weight, or a large rock. Not so!

THIS DOES NOT MAKE HIM RIGHT ALL THE TIME!

CULT LEADERS BECOME little gods...
THEY ARE DECEIVED,
AND DO NOT KNOW THEY ARE DECEIVED...
THEY ARE DECEIVED,
AND DO NOT KNOW THEY ARE DECEIVED...
Cult leaders are not the first, nor the last to be deceived by Satan.
Satan promised: (Genesis 3:5) "For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."
"little gods THEN USE THE SCRIPTURES ON EVERYONE ELSE!"
From the King James Holy Bible, Galatians 6:1-3
1 BRETHREN, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
