WHY THE BLESSED HOPE IS BLESSED - PART TWO

Titus 2:13 says: Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 says: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

It says the Lord HIMSELF shall descend from heaven. The Lord is not going to send someone else to pick us up. He is coming himself to catch us up. Our great God and Savior is coming again just as he promised in John 14. He said in John 14:1-3: Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

When he comes again we will see the one we have believed on, studied, talked about, preached about, sang about, thought about and looked for now for nearly 2000 years. This is why the blessed hope is so blessed. It is blessed because it will be the appearing, coming, manifestation and revelation of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Our great God and Savior thinks so much about his church that he will personally come in person to gather us unto himself.
