LETS GET SOMETHING STRAIGHT ABOUT THE GOSPEL

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that believing the Gospel and being saved is going to help you find a mate, give you a happy marriage, or even fix your broken marriage. The truth of the matter is, your marriage may never get any better, and you may never even find the right person.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that Jesus or the Gospel is going help you raise successful, confident kids, brimming with self-esteem. The truth of the matter is, your kids may go astray, leave the faith, or turn out bad. Despite your prayers, they may even die young.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that Jesus or the Gospel is going to help you climb that corporate ladder of success that you so desperately want to climb, or breathe new life into your failing business. No, in fact, you might lose everything you have. Your house might go into foreclosure, your car repossessed, and you might even go into bankruptcy and never recover.

Yes indeed! Everything you've longed for, you may receive, and it may still turn out to be a nightmare. For you, that might be the way it is all going to end on this earth.

But the Gospel is given so that you may receive something much more important than all of that. And this is something you need to realize. The Gospel is given so that you may receive eternal never ending life with God in the coming kingdom of God.

It is given that your sins could be forgiven and blotted out forever. It is given that you become born again and quickened by the Spirit of God. It is given that you can become a child of God. It is given that you could pass from death to life and never come into eternal damnation in hell.
